An excellent opportunity from the Balai Bahasa.

Registrations for the FREE Michael Idol Schools Concert have been extended until Friday 1 July 2016 . The concert is aimed at Years 7-12 students learning Indonesian. Attached is the booking form for registering your school and numbers of students as well as some information about Michael J and the concert. Please complete the attached booking form and email to michaelidol@balaibahasaperth.org

This is a unique opportunity to immerse your students in Indonesian language outside the classroom with a professional and contemporary Indonesian artist. The concert is sure to be entertaining and will give students and teachers the opportunity to be immersed in Indonesian language and music and meet and talk ‘in the flesh’ with Michael J. Please support this event and provide your students with a unique and enjoyable learning opportunity.
The event is being held at The Lakes Theatre, Mandurah Baptist College, Catalina Drive, Lakelands on Tuesday 23 August 2016

The schedule of the day is as follows:

10.15      Schools arrive at The Lakes Theatre
10.30      Concert begins
11.45      Question and answer session with Michael J
12.00      Concert finishes – students move in to school yard for lunch and casual meet and greet with Michael J during lunchtime. Students are asked to bring a small packed lunch (an Indonesian snack/jajan will also be available to compliment students’ lunch).
1.00pm   Leave venue for return to school

Any schools who are in the northern suburbs closer to the area of Mindarie, may be able to attend the Michael J Concert being held the following day on Wed 24 Aug. If you are interested in this alternative venue please contact Karen Bailey directly on kbailey@balaibahasaperth.org to discuss further.
This event is supported by the Australian Government through the Australia-Indonesia Institute of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and by the Consulate General of Republic of Indonesia Perth, through KBRI Canberra
